After the Order of Health ministry no. 166/27.06.2010 was issued, the Inspectorate for Emergency situations of Bihor County verified the hospitals managed by the municipality. No major issues were found; only one sanction of 3000 lei was given at Municipal hospital „Dr. Gavril Curteanu”. The main deficiencies referred to not up-dating the intervention plan, lack of basic plan regarding the fight against fire and safety measures for eviction in case of fire.

          During a press conference, Ms. Biro Rozalia presented the situation of repair works made at the educational establishments, before the school years starts. Until now the major works and investments are finalized at 5 units, to be finalized until 13^th of September at other two. The current repairs were done at 20 units, and 9 units are still under work. In the same time, the municipality allocated amounts of money from the local budget for the School Campus. “Until the end of this year, a building with 24 classrooms will be partly constructed, having windows and doors, so that during winter the works could be done inside” said Biro Rozalia, deputy mayor.

          Oradea municipality intends to decentralize the educational establishments, which are managed by the local administration, and started the process by analyzing the costs of utilities, which showed unjustified losses and expenses. Therefore, the plan is to allocate a certain amount per year for each educational establishment, to be managed by themselves. A mixed commission will be set up next year to verify the way of managing the water and electricity consumptions.

          “From the financial point of view, we want to offer them the possibility to manage the amounts from the local budget –for their operational expenses- by themselves, the same for their own revenues” said Mr. Cristian Beltechi, director of Real Estate Administration of Oradea.

          Children present at the Children’s Playground on Thursday night, and the ones fascinated by the universe as well, are invited, to attend an educative activity named “Stars. Constellations” starting with 19:30 hrs. On this occasion they will have the chance to find out more about the stars and the groups they belong to.

         Oradea City Hall announces that the monthly campaign for collecting WEE will take place on Saturday, September 4, 2010, between 8:00-18:00 hrs.

          Between 23 - 29.08.2010 the agents of Community police together with the representatives of RAPAS Oradea continued the verification actions of how the commerce takes place in the agro-alimentary markets, but also in other city areas.

          Within these actions, the community agents penalized 10 persons with the total amount of 5,000 lei, which were selling food products (dairy, meat) on the public domain. In the same time, 12 persons were penalized for exhibiting non-food products (old clothes, room fresheners or socks) in unauthorized places.  Also, 5 persons were caught to beg for money in the markets, being penalized as per Law 61/1991, and 7 persons were removed and guided to their residences.

          This action had a positive impact on the market users, most of them wanting safe conditions for selling their goods, without beggars, and public order safety. The police agents ask the citizens to call 0259 –969 for informing about  problematic situations and beggars present in the city.

           For destroying the insects generating discomfort to people (mosquitoes, flies, etc) Oradea municipality announces the citizens that between 01.09.2010 – 08.09.2010 the soil will be treated with low-toxicity level solutions Deltamin Flow 2,8 and Vectobac WG. The population is advised to avoid contact with the eyes. In order to obtain the maximum efficiency, the municipality requests the owner’s associations, and economical agents to apply insecticides in the same time collaborating with  company S.C. Deraton SRL Timişoara. In case of bad weather, the action will be postponed and announced in the local media.

         Oradea city hall, as the administrator of the renovation works performed at the State Theatre, together with the State Theatre as the owner of the documents found at the foundation stone, delivered the materials to the National Library Széchényi in Budapest, represented by the scientific director Boka László, in order to be restored.

         According to the decision of the above-mentioned institute, the restoration works of the documents will be done free of charge. The municipality requested this service in the same time to the Batthyaneum Library in Alba Iulia, but this did not respond to the municipality’s request. Therefore, the municipality and the state theatre considered the offer from the Library in Budapest and delivered the documents to be restored.

          After the Local Council of Oradea municipality allocated the amount of 500 thousands of lei from the local budget for re-partitioning, general repairs and renovation works at the Municipal hospital Dr.Gavril Curteanu, the municipality requested the Health Ministry to transfer the first portion of money, 1,000,000 lei for realizing these works.
